I was under the weather and had some down days but I finally feel like someone today. Yesterday I spent cooking and filling the freezer with a weeks worth of breakfasts and dinners, so let the fun begin:) I have weekend tickets to the Circuit of America NASCAR race. It is three miles down the road from the RV park, the road has very wide shoulders, which makes the commute on my bike an easy ride on a sunny day. I was down there this morning, but the gates were not open yet. I could hear the cars. The noise these amazing machines make is half the fun. So, first-rate planning on that. What was not first-rate planning was that the other thing I was looking forward to was the Stevie Ray Vaughan exhibit at the college museum (for the uninformed, he was one of the greatest Bluesmen… ever). Unfortunately, what I missed was that it was a traveling exhibit that ended nine years ago …. lol. I do not believe in “bucket lists”, if you want to do something, then go do it. With that said, I did have one thing on the “bucket list” I do not have, and that was to get a selfie with the Stevie Ray Vaughn statue they erected here. So I will get that done before I leave town. Next stop is Houston Space Center. I was such a big fan of the Appolo program when I was a kid I would ask Dad to get me up at 6am to watch the launches.
